ACCUTRON Spaceview Repair & Restoration

Unlike the hobby repairers, we charge No Additional FEES for restoration of individual case backs, pushers, crowns or battery door components.  Our case restoration service is "all inclusive".   We also offer many types of case repair and re-plating services, and authentic Spaceview crystal replacements and all factory-correct new/old stock components, or newly manufactured factory parts.  As the only Bulova referred service provider for vintage Accutron Repair, we're able to offer many authentic components not offered elsewhere.  We professionally handle all types of restoration projects, with over 65 (combined) years of experience.

Vintage Accutrons have been a favorite or ours since 1995 and we repair approximately 1,000 Accutrons each year.  We employ a full staff of watchmakers and jewelers, each of whom is a highly skilled and Certified or Master watchmaking professional.   All have received specific Accutron repair training from a Bulova Corp. watchmaking instructor.  In addition, it's mandated that each of our watchmakers attend continuing education classes either at AWCI or WOSTEP in Switzerland.  This is essential in staying abreast of new technologies and advances in the field.

Old Father Time is a full-time, brick and mortar establishment.  We must adhere to the very stringent requirements of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co.  in safeguarding our customer's assets while in our possession.   Click HERE to learn more about what to look for in a professional Accutron watch repair facility.

Pack your watch in a box that's at least 10" X 7" X 4" in size, (similar to a shoe box).  We recommend wrapping the item in bubble-wrap, and then packing in styrofoam peanuts.  You may ship by USPS Registered Mail, Insured.  FedEx, UPS & Airborne limit insurance to $500 for jewelry items. 

*Make no reference to the contents on the outside of the package.  Our address label, at the bottom of the Accutron Spaceview Mail-In Repair Form, may be used for Registered Mail only. 
Shortly after your package arrives, we'll notify you with a detailed estimate for repair.  We'll then wait for your approval before proceeding. 

Please!   DON'T Send vintage or collectible WATCH BOXES in with your watch, not even our OFT keepsake boxes.  Package carefully, but Use only packing that can be discarded. 
 

We have a $65 Estimate Fee which includes diagnosis of needed repairs, detailed written estimate, and return shipping and insurance by Federal Express if repairs are declined.  If, after obtaining your approval, we perform the repair we've recommended, there Estimate is FREE.

As the largest Accutron and Accutron Spaceview repair facility in the U.S., turnaround time can vary depending on a number of factors including complexity, parts availability, and the number of repairs currently in progress.  Our current turnaround time is 3 - 5 weeks.  Your patience is always appreciated!

Unless otherwise stated, Old Father Time Repairs are warranted, to our customers, for timekeeping, for a period of six months from the date of original repair. While perfection is always our goal, no warranties are, or can be, made regarding achieving the accuracy standards of timekeeping asserted by the original manufacturers when these watches were NEW. Timekeeping is adjusted as originally prescribed by the manufacturer at the time of return shipment to the customer, and has been found to be consistent for at least 7 days prior to shipment.  However, it is mutually understood that these watches are now antiques. As with any finer timepiece, and as is clearly stated in the Manufacturer's literature, adjustments to timekeeping ARE SOMETIMES necessary after any repair or overhaul and while the watch adjusts to the owner's normal use.  We've found that adjustments can also be required after  "rough shipping".  New problems can also arise after the initial repair is performed .   We will, therefore, make timekeeping adjustments throughout the warranty period as needed, however, our warranty does not apply to wear and tear, abuse, or tampering, and excludes batteries, case, strap or bracelet, crystals, electronic coils and return shipping costs.
